Laurie Brutus
Laurie Brutus is a senior majoring in Biochemistry and French.

Her senior thesis entails the dynamic properties of spirohydantoin-lesioned DNA. Laurie spent the summer of 2018 taking French literature in the south of France and the summer of 2019 conducting research at Smith College. Passionate about her Haitian heritage, she desires to complete a PhD with some relevance to viral transfer in Haiti. She also plans to use her double major to delve into cosmetic chemistry, a field in which France is considered a dominant force. On campus she is president of Wellesley for Caribbean Development, a biology tutor, a staff member at the Copy Center, and a member of Honor Code Council.
