She is also an Air Force ROTC cadet at Detachment 365 at MIT. In the summer of 2019, Kyra worked as an intern at the Asian Pacific American Institute of Congressional Studies, the electoral arm under the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus on the hill, where she compiled electoral data to help promote Asian American voices in politics. Kyra also worked as a student attorney at the Legal Services Center at Harvard Law School in the Veterans Legal Clinic, helping low-income veteran clients with estate planning documents. On campus, she is the Historian at the Wellesley Asian Alliance and the President of Friends of Wellesley ROTC. Upon graduation, Kyra hopes to attend law school and become a Judge Advocate General in the Air Force.
