She is writing her thesis on the role of dopaminergic neurons on gut motility in a mouse model of Parkinson's Disease. In the summer of 2023, Jasmine worked as an undergraduate researcher at the Research Lab of Electronics at MIT, where she studied the role of the gut-brain axis in neurodegenerative disease and utilized machine learning to automate analysis of a behavioral task. Outside of research, she is the co-president of the BOWCO climbing club on campus. She is also proficient in German. Upon graduation, Jasmine hopes to pursue a research career in advancing therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders.
