In the summer of 2021, Janie worked as an intern with Women’s Foundation California, where she supported efforts achieve racial, economic, and gender justice within the state of California. Janie spent her junior year of high school abroad in Morocco which sparked an interest in gender-based policy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. On campus, Janie works as an Academic Success Coach supporting students with varying academic needs. Janie is also the secretary for the Schneider Board of Governors. She is proficient in French. Janie’s goal upon graduation is to work with an international organization on policy regarding gender-based violence, preferably in the MENA region, before attending law school.
