She worked as a research assistant during the summer of 2014 on a project examining the impact of widespread arsenic contamination in the groundwater of Bangladesh on mothers' breastfeeding patterns. She continues to work on similar projects as a Case Fellow in the Economics Department, where she also serves as a teaching assistant. As a co-founder of Wellesley S.M.I.L.E.S, an initiative to foster spontaneity and community on campus, Hannah spends a lot of time thinking about how to best foster connections among students. In her future studies and research, Hannah hopes to focus on the effect of specific educational policies on aspects of childhood development - a passion sparked by her time spent working with disadvantaged students as a math teacher. Her goal this summer is to further her research experience at an international organization involved in policy development.
