Grace’s dedication to improving health equity led her to become an Agroecology Extension Research Fellow at the University of Vermont this past summer, where she learned about sustainable agriculture practices with her cohort. Individually, she worked with an Extension professor on surveying citizens’ understanding of cyanobacteria in order to best implement public health practices. She is continuing with data analysis and writing for this research, which aims to be published by May of 2023. On campus, Grace is the President of the Balance Health Educators, a peer health educator group, where she brings her expertise from being the previous Student Ambassador for the Office of Student Wellness. She aims to eventually attend graduate school for environmental policy, and further her goal of changing our food system.
