She worked at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County researching resource utilization in pediatric falls from buildings and other epidemiological trends in children as well as at the Goss Lab at Wellelsey College studying the biophysics of the extracellular matrix of fission yeast using Atomic Force Microscopy. On campus, Ellie worked in the Student Organization Funding Committee as a bookkeeper and was the treasurer of the Wellesley Arab Women’s Association, which helped her feel closer to her Lebanese roots and improve her conversational Arabic. Ellie’s goal is to secure a post-baccalaureate internship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) after working there next summer.
