Cindy Peng ’25
Her interests include power competition, the international legal system, migration, and Middle Eastern and Islamic studies. In summer 2023, she served as an intern of the Temple of Understanding, an interfaith NGO with consultative status at the UN, and represented the organization at the UN Headquarters in NYC. She attended meetings of UN organs, the High Level Political Forum and small-group events, where she interacted with representatives from multiple countries and organizations, and made statements and raised questions in meetings. Having been working with the TOU since 2020, she has also developed research projects on cyberterrorism legislations and information and the intersection of communication technology and international migration. Besides, in summer 2021, she was involved in a research on international law and transnational challenges, and she focused on the US-China power competition’s impact on international organizations. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career related to international law and migration.
