Cassiana Robinson ’22

The summer before attending Wellesley, Cassiana traveled to Myanmar with the Where There Be Dragons immersion program. Her program met with local NGOs, student activists, and farmers to understand the effects of increased international engagement on Myanmar's culture and society. Through engaging with Rohingya activists and students of the Theik Khar Myanmar Institute, Cassiana solidified her interest in learning about and working for refugee communities. On campus, she is a member of the Wellesley College Choir and had the pleasure of serving on the Executive Board as Social Chair from 2019-2020. She is also a member of the French House community and works for the Davis Museum as a Student Visitor Assistant. She has studied Arabic and French and plans to study in Bordeaux, France during her junior fall. While there, she will complete an independent study focused on the lived experiences of immigrant communities in Southern France. After graduating, she plans to serve in the Peace Corps working at the intersection of agricultural and ecological needs in international communities. Her long-term goals are to pursue a career serving refugee and immigrant populations either in the US or internationally.
