In the summer of 2014, Andrea worked as an intern with Observer Research Foundation, a public policy think tank located in the city of Mumbai. ORF’s mission statement is “Ideas and Action for a Better India”. During her internship, Andrea worked on a project involving the sexual harassment of female workers in the unorganized sector. Her work included conducting interviews with legal experts and field workers as well speaking with female workers on their experience with sexual harassment in the unorganized sector. On campus, Andrea is an associate editor for the Wellesley Globalist and a member of MEZCLA, the largest Latin@ organization on campus. She is fluent in Spanish and is currently studying Modern Standard Arabic as part of her Middle Eastern Studies coursework. Andrea hopes to attend graduate school for International Relations after graduation, but would like to spend a year abroad studying Arabic before continuing her studies.
