She spent this past summer in DC working for the Washington Office on Latin America in their Colombia team, where she worked on their efforts to support the Colombian government’s peace process with the ELN. Ana Julia spent the fall of her junior year in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Here she was able to learn more about grassroots peace-building efforts in Latin America through her classes as well as her internship with the Argentinian Commission for Refugees and Migrants. On campus, Ana Julia is president of Society Zeta Alpha, Wellesley’s literary society. She is a native Spanish speaker and her goal upon graduation is to return to Latin America and work to help Venezuelan migrants.
