Inela Selimović
Inela Selimović is an associate professor of Spanish at Wellesley College.

She specializes in contemporary Latin American film and literature. Her recent research has centered on the intersections of gender, politics, and ethnicity. Selimović authored Affective Moments in the Films of Martel, Carri, and Puenzo (2018) and co-edited three books, including The Feeling Child: Affect and Politics in Latin American Literature and Film (2018), Inusuales. Hogar, política y sexualidad en el cine hispano (2020), and Encuentros fortuitos en el cine hispano. Agencialidad en conflicto, poder en movimiento (2023). Her second book (The Cinema of Paula Markovitch, Edinburgh University Press, forthcoming) studies the crux between marginality and sensescapes in Markovitch’s films.
