Halimatou Hima Moussa Dioula ’10

She is completing a PhD at the University of Cambridge where she is a Cambridge-Africa Trust scholar, doing research in Development Studies. Halimatou has worked extensively on community and economic development programs in Niger, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Burkina Faso, among other contexts and was part of the World Bank’s Global Delivery Initiative, where she co-authored several publications. Halimatou has also published book chapters and research papers on education, socioeconomic inequalities, critical gender analysis and public sector reforms. She was the 2018-2020 Next Einstein Forum (NEF) and organized the first series of Africa Science Week in Niger covering several regions and impacting thousands of students. Halimatou holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University – Kennedy School of Government, through a Harvard Presidential Scholarship and a bachelor in Africana Studies and Economics from Wellesley College where she was an Albright Fellow.
