Grace Abuhamad
Grace is a tech policy strategist who most recently was the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

She returned to NTIA in March 2022 to build the agency’s AI and global Internet policy portfolios, then became Chief of Staff three months in and became the de facto agency COO, overseeing management for nearly $50 billion in broadband infrastructure grants, the national spectrum strategy, and a next-generation 911. In August, Grace represented NTIA in Kyiv for the U.S.-Ukraine Cyber Dialogue and focused her engagement on how the country would set itself up for the most innovative post-war economy it could be. In between government service tours, Grace helped grow and sell an AI startup (Element AI acquired by ServiceNow in January 2021).

Grace is now looking to set herself up for global policy and strategy leadership roles in tech organizations. She is building her portfolio through AI policy, governance, and strategy projects. She is particularly interested in how less-resourced countries invest in their tech infrastructure, drawing on lessons learned in the U.S.
