Ann Velenchik, Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Professor of Economics at Wellesley College; Sari Kerr, Senior Research Scientist at The Wellesley Centers for Women; and Olga Shurchkov, Associate Professor of Economics at Wellesley College, examine the data behind the gender pay gap in the Developed World. Various data sources are deconstructed into components to examine factors such as education level, age, professional occupation, marital status and other potential drivers.

    Ann Velenchik joined the Wellesley College faculty in 1989, and joined the Provost’s office in 2015.
  • Sari Pekkala Kerr, Senior Research Scientist, Wellesley Centers for Women
    Researcher on labor economics and entrepreneurship, with specific focus on women, education and immigration.
