Recently, she was awarded the 2017/2018 Shirley R. Sherr Student Research Fellowship at the Wellesley Centers for Women to continue her passion for understanding intersectional issues of gender and global migration. She spent the summer of 2017 in Costa Rica, where she was an intern for the human development department at the United Nations Development Programme. Throughout her academic experience, she has traveled to several countries, including United Kingdom, Italy, and Guatemala. In these trips she has served multiple communities, from helping refugees in Manchester, UK to building stoves in villages around Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Her goal upon graduation is to pursue a graduate degree in International Development, focusing on refugees and forced migration studies.
