In the Summer of 2017, as a Lumpkin Summer Institute for Service Learning Fellow, Julie worked as an intern for the Medical Legal Partnership Boston. There, she conducted legal research for attorneys, drafted literature reviews and resource lists, and helped construct presentations for legal trainings for healthcare providers. On campus, Julie serves as Treasurer on the Executive Board of Tau Zeta Epsilon, the arts and music society, and is also a member of Ethos, a student organization for students of African descent. During the summer of 2018, Julie hopes to intern for an organization that focuses on public health, or the intersection of health and law.
