Fellowship

Students with an interest in global affairs from all majors are eligible and encouraged to apply to be Albright Fellows.

Applications for the 2025-26 Fellowship will open on March 3rd, 2025

Applications will be due March 24, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET

The Albright Institute is open to Wellesley College juniors and seniors, with priority given to juniors. Students apply during the spring semester for acceptance to the following January’s incoming class. Thus, at the time of their application, students will generally be second-semester sophomores or second-semester juniors.

Students must be in good academic standing with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and/or have demonstrated potential for academic achievement.

Selection Process and Criteria
The Albright Institute is based on a multidisciplinary approach to understanding global affairs. Selection committee members will choose a diverse group of 40 students from across majors and disciplines. The selection committee will choose finalists based on multiple criteria, including the following:

• Evidence of preparation for advanced studies in global affairs, including relevant coursework, experiential learning, and other experiences;
• Commitment to building a civic-minded career;
• Leadership potential;
• Demonstration of open-mindedness, maturity, adaptability, and resilience.

You are strongly encouraged to attend an information session prior to applying to the Institute. The information session will take place at the following time and location:

  • Thursday, March 12, 2025 at 1:00-2:00 pm ET; Location: Zoom

Important Dates

  • Deadline: Applications are due March 24 at 11:59 p.m ET
  • Interviews: Interviews will take place in mid-April
  • Decisions: Finalists will be notified at the beginning of May
  • Wintersession: January 2-16, 2026
