In the summer of 2023, she completed an Anchor Point internship with the Women’s Microfinance Initiative in Buyobo, Uganda, where she compiled interviews and surveys into videos and a factbook documenting the growth and development of microloan recipients and their communities. On campus, Fatima is a proud co-founder of the Non-Traditional Student Network to provide academic & social support for non-traditional students like herself as a community college transfer student. She is a native Urdu speaker and is developing proficiency in French. She works at the Office of Admissions as a Belonging & Equity Liaison and is involved with W4UNICEF, Al-Muslimat, Pakistani Students Association & the Blue Notes. Upon graduation, Fatima hopes to find sustainable solutions for the multi-dimensional challenge of poverty alleviation in the developing world.
