Parking

Welcome Back!

Fall Parking Registration 2024 - New and Returning Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors Only.

Students authorized to bring their cars to campus must register their vehicles online by September 11, 2024. Information required includes: Name, phone #, home and campus address of both the owner and the operator, Student ID#; Vehicle plate number, state, year make and model;   It is helpful to bring your vehicle registration when completing the parking registration process.  We look forward to seeing you!

Gates were installed in several parking lots, including the Davis Parking Facility, Dower, and the College Club. All parking gates will be lowered over the weekend. Faculty, staff, and students who have registered their cars with Campus Police will have swipe card access to their assigned parking lots.

Due to issues we have had in the past with public use of parking lots, cars that are not registered will be ticketed and towed unless they are in spaces reserved for guests/visitors.

Campus Police Parking

Student Parking Registration

All students wishing to maintain a vehicle on campus for the academic year must register their vehicles using the Online Parking Registration Form. Once registered, your application will be processed and a parking decal will be mailed to your campus mailbox. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for processing.  It is extremely important to register your vehicle in a timely manner to avoid parking citations.

Out of State Students: Any student that resides outside of Massachusetts will need to complete the Nonresident Student Driver Statement Form (PDF) and email the form to parking@wellesley.edu. Once the form is processed, a RMV decal (must be placed in the uppermost center portion of the windshield) will be mailed to your campus mailbox. NOTE: This form applies to any student that lives in on-campus housing and operates a vehicle in Massachusetts and whose vehicle does not have a Massachusetts license plate.

Remember, parking at Wellesley College is a privilege afforded to sophomores, juniors and seniors. There is a fee associated with parking (see below). These fees are charged directly to student accounts.

Parking Fees:

Resident Student full year decal:$135.00

Resident Student 1/2 year decal:$75.00

Commuter Full Year decal:$100

Commuter 1/2 year decal:$60

To obtain a parking decal, please come to Campus Police, which is connected to the Davis Parking Facility/Garage.

Visitor Parking

  • Guests coming to campus on College business may park in the small lot in front of Campus Police at the Davis Parking Facility.

  • If the small lot is filled, other guests on College business may park in the Davis Parking Facility. Upon arriving at the garage gate, they should press the button to be connected to a dispatcher who will assist them.

  • Other guests of students, faculty, and staff may park in the designated athletics/visitor parking area in the DC Lot. Please review this map or locate the lot via Google to acquaint yourself with this visitor parking area.

Employee Parking & Registration

Employees are typically assigned to general staff parking in the Davis Parking Facility or the Trades Lot. Senior employees and those who work in buildings east of Tupelo Lane are assigned to restricted parking areas, such as Founders Lot. Movement from general staff parking areas to restricted parking areas is based primarily on years of service and disability needs. As vacancies in restricted areas become available, eligible employees will be contacted about the vacancy and afforded the opportunity to move from the general parking areas to the restricted parking areas.

To obtain a parking decal, please come to the Campus Police station (attached to the parking garage).

Employees must park in their designated parking areas at all times.

Disabilities

Employees with temporary or permanent medical disabilities must request special parking permits directly through Accessibility and Disability Resources. Medical documentation of an illness or injury may be requested.

Appealing a Ticket

Parking Citation Appeals -

Parking Citations may be appealed within the 14 day period from when the citation was written.

To appeal a parking ticket:

E-mail parking@wellesley.edu and provide the following:

  • Citation number in the subject field. (5-digit number located in upper left hand corner of citation)
  • Be sure to provide your name, address, phone and your reason for appeal in the body of the email.

Ticket appeals will not be considered on citations older than 14 days.

Visitors who receive their 1st parking/traffic violation while on campus may return such notice to the Campus Police office prior to leaving campus. They may also mail such violation to WCPD within the 14 day appeal period as stipulated on the reverse side of the violation. We will waive the fine provided all four required fields are completed (Name, Address, City & State, and Person or Office Visited). Subsequent violations by visitors will not be waived and will be subject to billing of all fines imposed. Again, visitors who fail to turn in their first citation will have the bill sent to their home address.

Students and employees are responsible for the fines incurred by their guests.

Citation Process Notes: Due to the volume of citation appeals, delays may occur. Do not send in duplicate appeals, as they may slow down the process.

Billing for Violations

Student parking citations are billed through Student Financial Services and placed on a student's tuition bill.

Employees will be billed directly from the Cashier's Office and outstanding fines may be deducted from payroll.

Payment may be received at the Cashier's Office during their normal business hours.
