Recently, Kanika interned in East India for 10 weeks, where she collected data regarding pain symptoms among patients with sickle cell, which will aid in the development of more effective treatment. In addition, she has interned in Ecuador the summer of freshman year where she helped develop a culturally sensitive English teaching program for the indigenous schools. She has a working knowledge of Spanish and Hindi. Kanika is currently an Undergraduate Researcher at the McGovern Brain Institute at MIT where treatment for Parkinson's is being developed. At Wellesley, she is the Vice President of Wellesley for UNICEF as well as a student docent at the Margaret C. Ferguson Greenhouses. Her hope is to work in the medical field as a physician and serve underserved communities.
