Mallika John
Mallika is a junior majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-medical track with aspirations to improve fertility care and family planning.

She is currently leading a research project at UCSF to document liver tumors in pregnant women and supporting a clinical trial on tubal sterilization. She recently completed a research assistant position with the Educational Justice Institute at MIT to create a guidebook for incarcerated individuals to obtain higher education and internships. Mallika also participated in the Stanford Molecular Imaging Mini-Fellowship in 2024 to improve her laboratory skills. On campus, she works at the Darling Laboratory studying ion channels of the heart muscles and is a member of the varsity crew team. She hopes to continue her career in both research and medicine in the future while positively impacting female reproductive healthcare.
